Legal Assault 11, October  27 2018, Cooktown

Legal Assault 11 is bringing back some of the former Full Boar big guns, with Clayton 'the Athlete' Cook leading a stellar fight card.

 

The Athlete, now the stand up coach for Fusion Innisfail, will bring his exciting fight style to centre ring in a five-round full thai rules war against Sebastian Holmes from Photojaeron Gym in Sydney. Backing up Cook is former Full Boar fighter Chris 'the Cowboy' Obodin,  tackling a seasoned Thai veteran, also from PTJ in Sydney. 

Local favourites Jake Witheridge, Rielly Hawkins, Ferlene David will be joined by Full Boar up and comers Hudson Dagge, Zayne Rosendale and Krisharna Pearson. A line up of fighters from Cairns, Atherton, Townsville and interstate make up the packed card.

There will be a licensed bar, hot home made food, card girls and a fight merchandise stand. Get in early to save on general entry tickets, which are on sale now for only $40. If you want to get up close and personal with the action, a ringside seat is only $80.

Legal Assault 10, October  28 2017, Cooktown

Legal Assault 10 will be headlined by Full Boar's youngest and most experienced fighter, Oliver 'the Butcher' Hanson, with a full undercard of exciting fights.

 

The event also marks 20 years of the Full Boar Gym, with some former fighters dusting off the gloves to get in the ring for a final bout.

Legal Assault IX, October  15 2016, Cooktown

Legal Assault 9 will be headlined by Cooktown's own Jakeb 'the Hitman' Whitman, taking on Cairns favourite Damon 'Kanglek' Goodwin.

 

Goodwin goes into the fight with less experience, but Whitman comes off several months' layoff after an injury, so the match is anyone's game. Also featured is former Cooktowner Kiri Bradley, taking on a tough opponent flown in from Perth, and Teneille 'the Beast' Nuggins tackling a fighter all the way from New Zealand. 

Also featured is Cooktown young gun Oliver 'the Butcher' Hanson, just returned from a gold-medal winning foray to the IFMA Youth World Championships in Bangkok. Oliver will be taking on Aussie Jiu Jitsu champ Brodie Mayocchi.

Legal Assault VIII, October  11 2014, Cooktown

Legal Assault VIII was headlined by seven-time world champion, Petchtanong UFG, and Cooktown's own two-time Aussie champ Clayton Cook.

 

The Thai fighter's experience proved too strong for the hometown lad, who put up a tough fight but lost by TKO in the third round. 

 

In other results, Cooktown's Jakeb Whitman won by KO in his first fight against Townsville's Edwin Argote, before stepping in to fight again, also winning by stoppage against Cairns' Sam Kapa.

 

Cairns' Brad Schuch finished Cardwell's Max Irwin, Atherton's Deyan Vasilev beat Cairns' Toby Wavuri and former Cooktowner Kiri Bradley proved too strong for Townsville's Jourdain Tapim.

 

Adam Tippet and James Bishop, from Mackay and Townsville, beat Cairns' Damian Ronasingha and Cooktown's Rielly Hawkins, while Hope Vale's Teneille Nuggins outclassed Maori import Mania Taare.

 

Local lad Jai Ross won fight of the night in a killer five-round battle against New Zealand's Ashlay Grant, despite losing the fight on points. Cooktown's Zane Stallan gamely stepped in with a fractured ankle, but was unable to continue, awarding the fight to his New Zealand opponent, Braedyn Grant.
